The ideas behind the energy intensity turn out to be fundamental transition a low-carbon society. This requires efforts both in low-emission technology choices and moving away from path dependency. entails significant costs short long run for African countries. paper analyses drivers of 13 West countries focusing on education investment over period 1990 2015. Panel data technics are suitable analysis. After testing stationarity cointegration, we use Fully Modified Ordinary Least Square method (FMOLS) with cross-sectional independence Common Correlated Effect Pooled Mean Group approach (CCEPMG) dependence. Our main findings show robust evidence that education, price income above certain threshold play an important role improving run. By controlling dependence, find urbanization rate become positive statistically significant. empirical increasing level is improve use, calling policy action encompassing sectoral global measures crucial achieve efficiency.
